To help the sick and sufferings poor people, to the maximum in saving their lives, the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region has distributed Cheques to help poor patients suffering from different ailments in their medical treatment to the maximum possible by providing medicines and financial assistance on case to case basis as one of the main Philanthropic activity.

Rs. 2.20 Lac which was sanctioned by Shri Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Divisional Commissioner who is also the ex-officio Chairman of IRCS, Jammu Region was distributed today through cheques to 8 different beneficiaries suffering from these fatal diseases and other health issues in presence of S/ Sh. Neeraj Anand, Surinder Mahajan Executive Committee Members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region and Shri R.Vijay Magotra, Social activist and Executive Committee Member of the IRCS, Jammu District Branch besides Shri O.P.Gupta and Sr. Rajinder Singh, Social activists.

Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region while handing over the cheques for and on behalf of the Executive Committee of IRCS, Jammu Region informed that the Society will put its best efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the poor members of public and sought the cooperation of all those Philanthropist who wanted to contribute in the adoption of patients for their treatment.

FREE DENTAL CHECK UP cum AWARENESS CAMP AT INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES

To supplement health care facilities at the door step, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organised a free Dental Check-up and awareness camp at Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora Jammu. Large number of students of Sangarsh Vidya Kendra , Maratha Colony, Jammu were taken to the Dental College for their proper examination.
The camp included dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay.
A team of Dental specialist along with Dr. Rajinder Thappa, Red Cross trainer and Smt. Kanchan Kumari under the supervision of Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region carried out a compressive Dental Check-up cum awareness camp.

Red Cross organizes Medical/Eye Checkup Camp

Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region tries its best always to be a front runner in providing a helping hand to any public initiative and community service. Continuing this tradition, the Society organized a FREE HEALTH SCREENING Cum EYE CHECK-UP CAMP in association with Model Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jammu at Govt. Middle School, Amb Teh. Bhalwal Distt. Jammu today.
Total 330 patients were examined by Eye/Medical team of Doctors in which 70 children were dewormed, 10 Cataract patients were identified and some of the children were immunized too. The camp included free medical consultation, nutrition advice,BP measurement, Eye Check-up, Immunization etc. The team of professionals included Dr. Shamim Akhter, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu and Dr. Payal Gupta, Ophthalmologist assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist, Smt. Tripta Devi, LHV along with Sh. Kuldeep Bhat, Sr. Ophthalmology Technician assisted by Miss Sureshta, N.O. Red Cross Diagnostic Centre, Jammu.
Maj.General (Retd.) Shri S.K.Sharma, Principal, MIET College who has adopted the area including the school for various kinds of developments with his team of Volunteers facilitated for every arrangement and also addressed the villagers, teachers and students to take care of themselves by adopting healthy dietary habits and try to get themselves examined as and when they notice any adverse system in their body.

Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region briefed about the number of Welfare Schemes of the State/Central Government and assured all those present including the College Principal of all support may be for educational, medical, relief etc. for the welfare of the poor needy which is the ultimate goal of the Red Cross Movement.

Spreading Warmth with Blanket Distribution

As the winter chill turns harsh with each passing day Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region is spreading warmth among the less privileged people of the society by carrying on blanket distribution drive.. From past one week the drive is carried in different parts of the area including Canal Road, Talab Tillo, Rehri Chungi, Sarwal Hospital, Medica]l College, SMGS Hospital areas, Jewel Chowk, Flyover, Vikram Chowk, Bahu Plaza, Railway Station and Bahu Fort to protect them from severe cold during nights. The purpose of distributing blankets to the needy spreads the message of our concern for them.

The drive was a great success only because of the help of J&K Police and Red Cross Members under the supervision of Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region. This drive is going to be conducted on 1st Jan, 2018 in Gandhi Nagar, Satwari and adjoining areas with the help of South Jammu Police.

The Red Cross Society appeals to one and all to help in identifying the poor needy who are really in need of warm clothing/blankets in this winter season so that their lives could be saved.

RED CROSS PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED COUPLE

Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Divisional Commissioner cum Chairman, IRCS, Jammu Region provided utensils, Blankets, clothing and a financial assistance amounting to Rs.25000/- (Twenty five thousand only) to a poor differently abled couple i.e. Smt. Anita Devi & Sh. Jagdish Raj R/O Gurha Pattan Teh. Bhalwal District Jammu to solemnize the marriage ceremony of their daughter namely Miss Sushmita scheduled to be held on 13th Dec. 2018 as they do not any source of income.
The Cheque of Rs.25000/- and material was handed over to the beneficiary today at Red Cross Office, Jammu by Dr. Shelly Mahajan, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary in the presence of Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, team of Red Cross Officials and Volunteers, IRCS, Jammu.

To help the family of Mr. Deepak Kumar who was working as a Porter with the Army unfortunately died on Nov. 9, 2018 due to sniper shoot from across the border, a team of Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu comprising Mr. Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Secretary, Mr. Neeraj Anand, President, Chambers of Traders Federation and Member Executive Committee, IRCS and an Intern Ms. Kunika Vashishta visited village Bhalwal Bharta, Pargwal, and in the presence of SDM, Khour Mr. Devinder Kumar and Tehsildar, Pargwal Sh. Ram Pal Sharma handed over two cheques of Rs.1.00 lakh each for and on behalf of District and Regional Red Cross Societies, Jammu to Mrs. Kunti Devi Mother of deceased Sh. Deepak Kumar for livelihood of the bereaved family.

  

 Four Day’s FIRST - AID TRAINING CONCLUDES

A four day’s Training Programme for Employees of Kandhari Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Samba, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. Jammu & Commercial vehicles drivers/ conductors commenced w.e.f. 20th Aug, 2018 concluded here today. All the trainee participants were taught about that in case of accidents and medical emergencies “WHAT TO DO & WHAT NOT TO DO” besides basic tit-Bits. Main focus was on the Time Management say they were explained “ HOW & WHY A STICH IN TIME SAVES NINE.” They were also motivated to observe the standard Traffic Rules & Regulations and to be a good citizen like.
The Training was imparted by the Sr. Consultant namely Dr. Rajinder Thappa, assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi, Supervisor Pharmacist and Sh. Vijay Magotra, Social Activist. The exam was conducted by Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu.
Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region briefed the participants about the functioning of Red Cross Society and how they can also be of big help to others during any medical emergencies/accidental victims and can save precious lives of others by applying the knowledge acquired during the Training. He also appealed them all to be associated with Red Cross and share the benefits of having the First-Aid Training Programme among their friends/relatives.

RED CROSS TEAM VISITS TALWARA MIGRANTS CAMP- DISTRIBUTE RELIEF MATERIAL

As a follow-up of Survey conducted by Red Cross Interns Ms.Kunika and Mr. Aushotosh Vashishta and based on the preliminary report submitted by them, a team of Red Crossers headed by Shri M.S.Rather, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch accompanied by Shri Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region and Volunteers visited Migrants Camp at Talwara, District Reasi. They interacted personally with the children, women, youth and the elderly persons representing all sections/segments of the Society. Everyone present there expressed their common problems such as huge cracks developed in their shelters, no proper school building/proper dispensary building and facilities available to them. During interaction, it was observed by the Red Cross team that there were many children with one or the other medical problems for which a proper medical camp needs to be organised. They all were informed about various kinds of medical/educational schemes available for them also. They were informed that shortly with the help of District Administration, a medical camp with doctors of different specialities will be organised there and based on the final Survey Report of Red Cross Interns, other suitable steps in consultation with the local administration will be initiated soon. The Relief Items distributed among the campers were Taurplines, Blankets, sleeping mates (plastic), buckets and assorted clothes.

FREE MEDICAL CHECK UP CAMP FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS HELD AT SATWARI CHATHA , JAMMU.

To supplement health care facilities at the door step, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with All J&K Senior Citizen Welfare Council (SCWC) Jammu, Department of Ophthalmology Govt. Medical College, Jammu and ENT Department, SMGS Hospital, Jammu organized a Free Medical/Eye/ENT Checkup camp at Satwari Chatha , Jammu.

Prof. Nirmal Kamal, Former Chairperson of J&K Social Welfare Board inaugurated the Camps and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and collaborators.

Large number of Senior Citizen of in and around the area were examined by Eye/ENT team of Doctors and Para Medicos and 58 cases were identified for further examination at Eye and ENT Departments of GMCH, Jammu and SMGS Hospital, Jammu.

All those cases identified in yesterday’s camp were brought to GMC and SMGS Hospitals today and besides detailed examination were given free medicines and early dates for the free operation etc.

Dr. Bias Dev, Asstt. Prof Ortho in GMCH addressed all the Sr. Citizens especially and gave them very valuable tips to prevent backache and how best they can take care of their Ortho related daily problems.

Dr. Rajinder Thappa examined the Senior Citizens for their ailments and provided consultation.

Free Cancer Patients Medical Checkup Camp Organized

Cancer Patients Aid Association, Mumbai in collaboration with Indian Army and Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized two Cancer Detection Checkup Camps near LOC i.e. at Village Gajansoo Marh on 4th July, 2018 and Village Molu, Pargwal on 5th July, 2018.
During these camps about 1000 members of public from adjoining Villages for screened for Cancer Ailments (Mouth , Blood, Breast and Prostrate) were checked up by a team of Doctors/Para Medicals from Mumbai. Free Medicines were also provided to the beneficiaries.
The efforts put in by Cancer Patient Aid Association, Indian Army (Chenab Brigade) and Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region for organizing Medical Checkup camp in the border villages.

Medical Health Relief

To provide immediate relief to the fire victims of R.S Pura Viilage Kadyal, Dinesh Gupta Secretary IRCS Jammu region with his team of Red cross members visited the site and in consultation with Divisional Commissioner, Dy Commissioner Jammu and distributed relief material like utensils, buckets, blankets etc among the affected families. The material was distributed in the presence of SDM, Tehsildar and Naib tehsildar RS.Pura. On 25 May, relief material for border displaced persons of village Chakri, RS.Pura was also provided by IRCS Jammu. The team comprised S C. Bali, Ashok Sharma, Satvir Singh, Raj Kumar. Surinder Kumar, Sudershan Singh.

To provide proper Health Care facility at the door step, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Punjab National Bank, Zonal Office, Jammu organised two Medical / Eye Check-up Camps at R.S.Pura and Shamachak (Marh) Jammu on 12-04-2018
In the Camps large number of patients of R.S. Pura Tehsil and Shamachak (Marh) areas of Jammu District (general/eye) were examined by a team of Red Cross Doctors viz. Dr. Ranbhushan Singh, Sr. Anaesthetist Consultant, Dr. Rajinder Thappa, Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Dr. Subash Chander, Dr. Seema Raj and Dr. Jyoti assisted by Sh. Kuldeep Bhat, Sr. Opth. Asstt., Smt. Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist, Sh. Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist , Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, Sh. Sudershan Singh and Ms. Sureshta Devi. Free Medicines were also provided to the poor patients.
General Managers of Punjab National Banks, R.S.Pura and Shamachak inaugurated the above said Medical Camps and appreciated the efforts of Red Cross for organizing Medical Camps and hope that in future Red Cross also support PNB for organizing Medical Camps.
These camps were successfully organised in the co-operation of Block Medical Officers of R.S.Pura and Marh.

Five- day free artificial limbs camp for the on-spot fitment of artificial limbs

Five- day free artificial limbs camp for the on-spot fitment of artificial limbs and callipers to amputees and Polio victims of Jammu region, concluded at Red Cross Sarai here today. During the camp, about 197 persons were provided artificial limbs, callipers, tricycles, wheel chairs crutches and other appliances free of cost. A team of 12 technicians of Kota branch of BMVSS fabricated, assembled and fitted 57 artificial legs and 34 callipers to the beneficiaries. Each limb /calliper was fabricated individually for each beneficiary as per his/her requirement. ‘Divyangs ’ from far flung areas, including Padar, Doda, Gulabgarh, Budhal, Ramnagar and border areas of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts were benefited in the camp. The camp was organized in the memory of late Justice R P Sethi and M C Bhandari of BMVSS Kota by Viklang Chhatra Trust in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti and Regional Red Cross Society Jammu. Satya Pal Saraf, organizer of VCT said that free lodging and boarding was provided to the Divyangs and their attendants during camp days. Regional Red Cross Society made special arrangements for the comfortable stay under the guidance of Ravi Puri, Secretary and Mangat Ram Sharma, Manager Red Cross Sarai. At the concluding function, 21 tricycles and wheel-chairs were distributed among the registered beneficiaries. JRC Home for Handicapped rendered useful assistance in the camp. Those present on this occasion, included Chhatrapal, president Viklang Chhatra Trust; Legal Advisors of VCT, Adv Sunil R P Sethi and Vishal Kapoor; Raj Sethi and Secretary Regional Red Cross Society, Sh.R.C. Puri.

RED CROSS CELEBRATES WORLD DIABETES DAY

To celebrate World Diabetes Day, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized a Free Diabetes/Detection/ Awareness Camp at Canal Road Walkway, Jammu for checkup of Sugar fasting of the morning walkers.

The Camp was organized to make the people aware of the growing effects of diabetes keeping in view the large number of increase in the patients of diabetes in India wherein more than 120 people of all walks of life i.e Sr. citizens and young ones got their sugar fasting tests and were also made aware about their life style and dietary habits for the alarming rise of diabetic population/patients by the Sr Doctors / technicians of Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Jammu.

The Morning Walkers appreciated the efforts of the IRCS, Jammu Region for making aware of the fast spreading diabetes disease because of change of the life style of the people at large and organizing such camp in the early hours of the morning by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.

RED CROSS HOLDS FREE DIABETES AWARENESS CAMP

Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organised a free diabetes detection/awareness camp at Canal Road Walkway for the morning walkers today i.e. 16th Sept. 2017.
The Camp was organised to make the people aware of the growing effects of diabetes keeping in view, the increase in the number of patients of diabetes during the last few years as India being considered as the diabetic capital of the World with as many as 50 million people suffering from type-2 diabetes, has to face great challenge but the timely detection and right management can go a long way in helping patients lead a normal life.
In the Camp 110 persons were checked up for the Blood Sugar by a team of Sr. Laboratory Technicians of Red Cross Diagnostic Lab. whereas Dr. Ranbhushan Singh, Sr. Consultant Anaesthetist of Red Cross delivered motivational lecture to the morning walkers about the growing effects of Diabetes. The Camp was organised under the supervision and guidance of Hony. Secretary.
The Sr. Citizens, prominent persons and morning walkers of the area of Bhagwati Nagar, Bakshi Nagar ,Shakti Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu etc. appreciated the efforts of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region for organising such camps in the early hours from6.00 A.M. onwards and hoped that such camps will certainly bring a change in the life style of the public at large for their benefit in future.

Red Cross organizes Medical/Eye Checkup/Immunization Camp

To provide proper Health Care facility at the door step, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organised a Medical / Eye Check-up/Immunization Camp at Sunrise Public School, Channi Himmat, Jammu today the 7th Sept., 2017
In the Camp large number of students and their parents of Sunrise Public School were examined (general/eye checkup) by a team of Red Cross Doctors viz. Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Office, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu and Dr. Heena Bhagat, Intern assisted by Sh. Anil Kumar, Sr. Opth. Asstt. and Sh. Joginder Kumar Pharmacist and Free Medicines were also provided to the poor students besides Immunization doses were also administered to the students upto 16 years age group by Smt. Tripta Devi, LHV and Smt. Sangeeta Devi, FMPHW.
Sh. R.C.Puri, Hony. Secretary, while speaking on the occasion said that it is a unique and great effort by Sh. Rajesh Sharma and Ms. Manpreet Kour who are running the School for poor and needy students free of cost for the last five years which is a great services to the humanity for up-liftment of the down trodden class.
Principal of the School appreciated the support rendered by Red Cross by organizing Medical/Eye Checkup/Immunization Camp in the school premises and hope that such type of camp Red Cross will also organise in the School in future.

Rajouri (Nowshera Sector) and are putting up in Camps in and around Nowshera and distributed relief material in shape of Kitchen sets, buckets, hygiene kits, Notebooks, Durries and Solar Lights to the affected families around 700 who are putting up in camps in presence of Sh. Harbans Lal, KAS, SDM, Nowshera and Tehsildar, Nowshera. The relief distribution camp was organized under the supervision of Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region.

As part of world Red Cross Day celebrations, Indian Red Cross Society organized a Medical/immunization camp at Viraj Bal bhawan School, Khanpur (Nagrota).
during the camp around 100 students of the said school were checked up of various ailments particularly allergy, scabies, chest infection, fever, eye etc. Dr. Kavita Nijohn Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu examined the patients/students assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi, sup. Pharmacist, Sh. Anil Kumar, Sup. Ophthalmic tech. and Smt. Tripta Devi, LHV besides this, a motivational lecture on health and hygiene was also delivered by Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Red Cross Organizes Eye Checkup Camp

To provide proper heath Eye check up to the poor/needy students of Govt. Schools, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a Eye Check up Camp at Govt. Middle School, Tangewali Gali, Kachi Chawni, Jammu on 1st May, 2017. In the Camp more than 50 students of the School were examined by Medical Team of Red Cross. Free Eye Drops were also provided to the students.

A relief distribution camp was organized to provide relief to the people living close to border areas affected by recent shelling by the hostile neighbor. The camp was organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, 'Save Animals Value Environment' (SAVE) and Inner Wheel club of Jammu. Warm clothes, medicines, blankets and quilts were distributed to the affected families living in the area.
Some of the people were still carrying wounds from the shelling on the borders recently so free medical checkup was done by Dr. Dushyant.

​Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a free Diabetes Detection/ Awareness Camp at Canal Road Walkway for checkup of Sugar fasting/Blood Pressure of the morning walkers.

The camp was organized to make the people aware of the growing effects of diabetes keeping in view, the large number of increase in the patients of diabetes during the last few years as the number of 32 millions in 2000 has increased the double as 63 millions in 2013.

In view of the prevailing extreme winter conditions and inclement weather, 26 Tiger Division and Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in a joint venture organized Winter Aid Relief Camp in order to provide some sort of succour to the border people at various places of the border area in R.S. Pura Sector at Samka, Satowali and Sai etc. and distributed number of Blankets, Cotton Mattresses, Towels, Quilts etc. among the needy/poor people by Brig.S.K.S. Chauhan of Miran Sahib Brigade in presence of Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region and Sh. Sita Ram Sharma, Member, Executive Committee, IRCS, Jammu Region.

While speaking on the occasion Brig. Chauhan appreciated the timely support extended by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in shape of Winter Aid relief items for the welfare of the poor/needy people of Border village Samka, Sai and Satowali etc. and hoped that such type of support shall be continued in future also.

To provide proper heath check up to the poor/needy people of remote and reserved backward areas of Jammu Region, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a Medical Check up/Relief distribution Camp at Village Barigarh which is reserved backward areas of Tehsil Majalta Distt. Udhampur. During the camp about 150 patients were examined by Dr. Rohini Bhan, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary which was assisted by Sh. Anil Kumar, Sup. Ophthalmic Asstt., Sh. Sohan Lal, Pharmacist and Mrs. Tripta Devi, LHV. Free Medicines were also provided to the poor patients.
Besides this Relief items in shape of Blankets, Kitchen sets, Sweaters and Biscuits were also distributed among the poor/needy people of the area.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Sh. Sita Ram Sharma, Executive Committee Member of IRCS, Jammu Region.

Red Cross Organizes Medical Camp


To alleviate the human sufferings and also to carry forward the humanitarian services, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a Free Medical Camp for the flood hit people of remote area of village Panjgrain (Ghordi) Tehsil Ram Nagar Udhampur on 14th October,2014. During the camp about 428(General 228 and Eye 200) patients were examined by Dr. Rohini Bhan Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary and Shri Anil Kumar, Sup. Ophthalmic Assistant. Free Medicines were distributed through our Pharmacist Shri Sohan Lal on the spot besides relief items in shape of 300 blankets, 50 sweaters and eatable items i.e biscuits and juice also distributed among the flood hit victims.
Prominent among those who were present included Mrs. Navneet Kour, Member Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.

Red Cross, Bee Enn Charitable Trust & Hridyadeep Ashram Organizes Medical Camp.

To alleviate the human sufferings and also to carry forward the humanitarian services, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu in collaboration with Bee Enn Charitable Trust and Hridyadeep Ashram, Jammu organized a Free Medical check up Camp for the victims of Border firing putting up in a migrant camp at village Deoli (Bishnah) to day the 18th October,2014. During the camp about 150 patients were examined of various ailments by a team of Doctors namely Dr. Koushalya Sambyal of Bee Enn, Charitable Trust & Dr. Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary and Shri Kuldeep Bhat, Sr. Ophthalmic Assistant. Free Medicines were distributed through our Pharmacist Shri Sohan Lal on the spot besides eatable items were also distributed among the Border migrants .

Prominent among those who were present in the said camp included Shri Sita Ram Sharma, Member Executive Committee of Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.

RED CROSS ORGANISES DIAGNOSTIC & MEDICAL CAMP


Continuing its mission to provide proper Health check up to the affected people of recent heavy rains/flood, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized a Diagnostic and medical Check up Camp at village Saddal in Pancheri Block on 23rd of September,2014 in which about 200 patients of General and Eye were examined by Dr. Rohini Bhan, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary assisted by Shri Sohan Lal, Pharmacist, Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, Sup. Ophthalmic Asstt. besides 21 patients of different disease of whom 40 free tests i.e KFt, LFT, Lipid Profile, Calcium etc. were also conducted through a portable & unique mobile lab(Bio-Chemistry) presented by M/S Khushi Centre for Rehabilitation & Research, Delhi by Shri Mahesh Kumar a technician from Accuster Technology, Gurgaon, Haryana assisted by Red Cross Diagnostic Centre Staff namely Shri Sanjay Dhar, & Mrs. Monica Sharma, Sr. Lab. Technicians. The Red Cross distributed free different kind of medicines(epidemic) to the patients as prescribed by the Doctor and also relief material in shape of eatable items to them.

Shri Ajat Shatru Singh, Hon’ble Member, J&K Legislative Council who has also been there visited Red Cross Medical Camp and appreciated the efforts of Red Cross by reaching out to the flood hit affected people of far flung areas especially a remote village Saddal where heavy casualties/loss of human beings have been occurred including their properties besides a Central team of reputed Doctors from Pondicherry had already been there to assess the situation of epidemic diseases visited the Red Cross Medical Camp also appreciated the initiative taken by Red Cross by organizing a free Medical Check up Camp for the flood hit victims of the area.

Red Cross Organizes Medical Camp at Lakshmi Pura in Phallian Mandal Area

In order to provide proper Health & Medical Facilities to the recent flood hit victims, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Bee Enn Charitable Trust and Hridyadeep Ashram organized a Free Medical Check up Camp at Lakshmi Pura in Phallian Mandal Area, Jammu wherein about 250 patients were examined by a team of Doctors headed by Dr. Kaushlya Sambyal, Medical Superintendent Bee Enn General Hosiptal which included Dr. Kavita Nijhon Bhan, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary assisted by Sh. Sohan Lal, Pharmacist. 30 free tests of various ailments were conducted through a Portable Test Lab which is a unique one in the J&K State having the capacity of 29 parameters at a short time i.e KFT, LFT, Lipid Profile, Calcium etc. by Mr. Mahesh, Technician presented by M/S Khushi Rehabilitation Centre, Delhi. Then Technicians of Red Cross Diagnostic Centre,Sh. Surinder Vermani, Sh. Sanjay Dhar, and Mrs. Monica Sharma assisted Mr. Mahesh during the tests.

The Red Cross also distributed different kind of medicines as prescribed by the Doctor and eatable items to the flood hit victims free of cost.

Free Medical Checkup Camp at Jhiri Jammu

Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu in collaboration with Bee Enn Charitable Trust Jammu and Hridyadeep Ashram, Jammu organized a Free Medical, Eye and Dental Checkup Camp.
Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu in collaboration with Bee Enn Charitable Trust Jammu and Hridyadeep Ashram, Jammu organized a Free Medical, Eye and Dental Checkup Camp at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Saruinsar Jammu on 23-08-2014 in which students of the school were checked up in different ailments i.e. general, Dental and Eye by a team of Doctors headed by Dr. Kushalya Sambyal from Bee Enn Charitable Trust, Jammu which included Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Dr. Rohini Bhan from Red Cross Dispensary and Dr. Rakesh Raina, Dental Surgeon  from Govt. Dental College, Jammu which were assisted by Sh. Anil Kumar, Sup Ophthalmic Asstt.  and Sh. Sohan Lal, Pharmacist.

About 100 students were checked up in the said Camp and free medicines were also provided to the poor students. The Camp was organized under  the Supervision of Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.

The Principal of the School appreciated the initiative taken by the Red Cross and hoped such camps would also be under taken in future.

Free Medical Checkup Camp at Jhiri Jammu

Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a Free Medical Checkup Camp at Jhiri Jammu in collaboration with Bee Enn General Hospital, Jammu on 26-04-2014 to provide Free Medical Checkup and medicines to the needy patients.
A team of Voluntary Doctors from Bee Enn Charitable and other Institutions including Dr. Kushlaya Samyal from Bee Enn General Hospital, Dr. Kavita Nijhon, from Red Cross Dispensary, Dr. Vanya Dental Surgeon and Dr. Arundati Physiotherapist, participating in the Camp and examined the patients for various ailments (Gynae, General, Dental problems, Eyes & Ortho) besides Sh. Kuldeep Bhat, Sr. Ophthalmic Tech and Sh. Sohan Lal, Pharmacist and rendered their services. About 250 patients were examined and free medicines were also provided to the poor by the Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu & Bee Enn General Hospital.
