A voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by Rotary Club of Jammu Tawi on 13th March, 2022 in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region and Blood Centre Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Jammu at Rotary Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in which 19 donors voluntary donated their blood.

Since Blood Donation is a great service to the mankind, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was held at Model Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kot Balwal, Jammu on October 04, 2018. Total seventy three units of Blood was donated of which 10 units were donated by staff members of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and 63 units were donated by students of MIET, Jammu . The camp was organised jointly by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Govt. Medical College Hospital, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and MIET College.
The camp was inaugurated by Sh B.C. Sharma, Dean MIET, Jammu in the presence of Sh. Syed Rizvi and Sh. Surinder Kumar, H.R. Managers, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. Mr. Vikram Sharma, Area Manager Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Jammu, Dr. Lubna from Blood Bank and Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer of IRCS, Jammu Region were actively involved in the proper management of the camp.
Blood Donation Camp at Radisson Blu, Jammu
In contribution to its endeavor and unwavering commitment to serve the community, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jammu organized a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd Oct, 2018 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu.
A total number of 53 units were voluntarily donated by Sh. Chander Bhushan Singh, General Manager and the other staff members of the hotel. The camp was conducted in the very presence and with the active involvement of Ms. Neha, H.R. of the Hotel, Dr. Salvi, team of Blood Bank and Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer of IRCS, Jammu Region and Sh. R.Vijay Magotra, Social activist.
The blood donation camp was organized on Friday at Indian Institute of Management, Jammu in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.
“Dr. T R Raina, vice president, National Chapter of ISBTI on the occasion enlightened the students on the myths and benefits of blood donation,” the statement said. A demonstration of relaxing techniques was also conducted for students to invigorate themselves during stressful situations.
The statement further said after the interactive session blood donation camp began at around 10 am and continued up to 1 pm. A thorough medical check-up of potential donors was conducted. There was an enthusiastic participation not only by the students but also by the staff and faculty members, it reads.

Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Dyalachak in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Blood Bank GMC Jammu, District Hospital Kathua and JKSACS. During the camp, the volunteers donated 95 units of blood. The camp was inaugurated by Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Sant Nirankari Mandal. While speaking on the occasion, he appreciated blood donors for their priceless contribution for humanity and appealed to all to come forward for this noble cause. He said that service to mankind is service to God. He also highlighted the other social activities of Nirankari Mission and gave the message of True Master. 2nd J&K Boys BN NCC in collaboration with Government SMGS Hospital organised blood donation camp in the premises of Government SPMR Commerce College.
The camp marked the celebration of 69th NCC Day which is falls on November 26. Col Karamdin, Commanding Officer, 2 J&K NCC Battalion was the Chief Guest while R.C Puri Secretary Red Cross Society was the Guest of Honour and the event was presided over by Prof. Romesh Chander, Principal of the host College.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other dignitaries including Sita Ram Sharma Executive Member Red Cross Society and Dr. Sadia from SMGS Hospital Jammu.
A total of 40 units of blood donated by the cadets of ITI Jammu under the guidance of Lt N.C Jamwal (ANO), cadets from Government MAM College, cadets from GDC Paloura and the host college were collected.

A total number of 50 Units were voluntarily donated by the members of Mahavir International Society Faridabad/ Jammu. The beauty of the camp was that all the donors were fully motivated and they came all the way from Faridabad, NCR and other States to donate blood and save precious lives. This is the3rs such camp and has motivated many locals also to come forward and donate blood.

National Voluntary Blood Donor’s Day Celebrated at GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu
NSS Unit of Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu, Department of Blood Transfusion and Medicines, Govt. National Voluntary Blood Donors Day Celebrated at Radisson Blu
To Celebrate the National Voluntary Blood Donor’s Day on October 1, 2017 in a befitting manner, series of Voluntary Blood Donation Programmes have been planned by IRCS, Jammu Region in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department, GMC and JKSACS, Jammu.

The camp was inaugurated by R.C Puri Secretary along with Vinod Jain Chairman of Society along with member associated of the society. The immense efforts of Jain society resulted in collection of more than 90 units of blood on the occasion.
Rajni Jain, General Secretary read all the achievements and work carried out by the society during one year’s span of time. She said that society works on the principal “Love All – Serve All” and is dedicated to social upliftment focusing on economically weaker section of society. She appraised that society is coming up with some new projects for the betterment of the unprivileged members of society.
Praising the important contribution and timely help made by the society to needy and poor, Puri lauded the efforts of society especially in contributing for blood donation camps. He said the real significance of this humanitarian deed can only be appreciated by those who come to the hospital during distress, have no support system of their own, it proves critical for the life saving of the recipients.

The Blood Donation Camp was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal, Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bakshi appreciated the efforts made by the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and stressed upon other students of the College to come forward and donate blood voluntarily for humanitarian cause.

On the concluding day of 27th Road Safety Week, Motor Vehicle Department in collaboration with Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu and Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar organised a blood donation camp at Regional Transport Office Jammu on 6-1-2016 in which more than 80 persons donated blood voluntarily in the said Camp.

Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region and threw light on the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation and urged the gathering particularly the Youth to come forward and donate blood Voluntarily for Humanitarian cause. Besides this Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region also made a brief note on the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation. On the eve of Independence Day, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regional Office Jammu organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region and Blood Transfusion Department, Government Medical Jammu at RBI Complex on 13-08-2015 Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal and D. Sethy, Regional Director, RBI, J&K State jointly inaugurated the camp by donating a unit of blood each. This was followed by the Senior Officers Ramesh Chand & Suresh Sharma, GMs, P.K.Jain & Vinod Kumar, Dy.GMs, many AGMs, Managers, Secretaries and members of Association/Union of Class III /IV staff donating the blood.
