"BLOOD DONATION CAMP HELD AT MIET, JAMMU

DSCN9797DSCN9815   Since Blood Donation is a great service to the mankind, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was held at Model Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kot Balwal, Jammu on October 04, 2018. Total seventy three units of Blood was donated of which 10 units were donated by staff members of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and 63 units were donated by students of MIET, Jammu . The camp was organised jointly by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Govt. Medical College Hospital, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and MIET College.
The camp was inaugurated by Sh B.C. Sharma, Dean MIET, Jammu in the presence of Sh. Syed Rizvi and Sh. Surinder Kumar, H.R. Managers, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. Mr. Vikram Sharma, Area Manager Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Jammu, Dr. Lubna from Blood Bank and Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer of IRCS, Jammu Region were actively involved in the proper management of the camp.
DSCN9753DSCN9755 Blood Donation Camp at Radisson Blu, Jammu In contribution to its endeavor and unwavering commitment to serve the community, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jammu organized a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd Oct, 2018 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu. A total number of 53 units were voluntarily donated by Sh. Chander Bhushan Singh, General Manager and the other staff members of the hotel. The camp was conducted in the very presence and with the active involvement of Ms. Neha, H.R. of the Hotel, Dr. Salvi, team of Blood Bank and Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer of IRCS, Jammu Region and Sh. R.Vijay Magotra, Social activist.  

The blood donation camp was organized on Friday at Indian Institute of Management, Jammu in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.

DSCN9696 “Dr. T R Raina, vice president, National Chapter of ISBTI on the occasion enlightened the students on the myths and benefits of blood donation,” the statement said. A demonstration of relaxing techniques was also conducted for students to invigorate themselves during stressful situations. The statement further said after the interactive session blood donation camp began at around 10 am and continued up to 1 pm. A thorough medical check-up of potential donors was conducted. There was an enthusiastic participation not only by the students but also by the staff and faculty members, it reads. As a part of celebrations, a blood donation camp was organized on 06.09.2018 at its Divisional Office Cell, Rail Head Complex. The event was organized by the Corporation in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department GMC, Jammu and Red Cross Society, Jammu. Sh.Kapoor Singh, Sr. Divisional Manager, LIC thanked Dr. Nazia from Blood Bank, Sh.Dinesh Gupta Secretary Red Cross Society and their respective teams for making the event a success. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Organizes Blood Donation Camp

  Hindustan Petroleum Corporation organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region & Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College, Jammu on 21-7-2018 at HPCL LPG Plant Bari Brahmana, Jammu in which 27 officers/staff members donated Blood Voluntarily. Shri Krishan Lal, Dy. General Manager, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Jammu inaugurated the camp. Sh. Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a blood donation camp

Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Dyalachak in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Blood Bank GMC Jammu, District Hospital Kathua and JKSACS. During the camp, the volunteers donated 95 units of blood. The camp was inaugurated by Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Sant Nirankari Mandal. While speaking on the occasion, he appreciated blood donors for their priceless contribution for humanity and appealed to all to come forward for this noble cause. He said that service to mankind is service to God. He also highlighted the other social activities of Nirankari Mission and gave the message of True Master. Other dignitaries, present on the occasion, included Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Dr. Kajal from Blood Bank Jammu, Dr S D Attri, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kathua, Dr Omkar Bhagat, BMO Hiranagar, Satish Virdi Sanyojak, Dinanath Mukhi, Satpal Khetrya Sanchalak and several prominent citizens of the town. 2nd J&K Boys BN NCC in collaboration with Government SMGS Hospital organised blood donation camp in the premises of Government SPMR Commerce College. The camp marked the celebration of 69th NCC Day which is falls on November 26. Col Karamdin, Commanding Officer, 2 J&K NCC Battalion was the Chief Guest while R.C Puri Secretary Red Cross Society was the Guest of Honour and the event was presided over by Prof. Romesh Chander, Principal of the host College. The programme commenced with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other dignitaries including Sita Ram Sharma Executive Member Red Cross Society and Dr. Sadia from SMGS Hospital Jammu. A total of 40 units of blood donated by the cadets of ITI Jammu under the guidance of Lt N.C Jamwal (ANO), cadets from Government MAM College, cadets from GDC Paloura and the host college were collected. Col Karamdin emphasised upon the significance of blood donation. He congratulated the cadets on NCC Day and motivated them to donate blood. Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu also appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion, dedication and enthusiasm of the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Blood Donation Camp. Dr. Romesh also expressed the dire need of inculcating moral values and respect for each other. The ANO of the host College, Prof. (Lt) Savita Jamwal raised the slogan ‘Rakt Dan Maha Dan’ while addressing the cadets which was enthusiastically resonated by them.

Mahavir International Society Faridabad & Jammu Organises Blood Donation Camp

Mahavir International Society Faridabad & Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, District Red Cross Society, Reasi and Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu at Govt. Hr Sec. School Katra on 28-10-2017. A total number of 50 Units were voluntarily donated by the members of Mahavir International Society Faridabad/ Jammu. The beauty of the camp was that all the donors were fully motivated and they came all the way from Faridabad, NCR and other States to donate blood and save precious lives. This is the3rs such camp and has motivated many locals also to come forward and donate blood. Sh. National Voluntary Blood Donor’s Day Celebrated at GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu

NSS Unit of Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu, Department of Blood Transfusion and Medicines, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 6-10-2017 on the occasion of Celebration of National Voluntary Blood Donor’s Day in the College premises in which about 30 Units of Blood were donated by the students of the College.

The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Kaushal Smotra, Principal, Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kaushal Smotra appreciated the efforts made by the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and stressed upon other students of the College to come forward and donate blood voluntarily for humanitarian cause.

Red Ribbon Club of the Government MAM College Jammu in collaboration with Regional Red Cross Society and Blood Transfusion Department, GMC Jammu and JKSACS, Jammu organized a blood donation camp followed by an awareness and motivational lecture on voluntary blood donation. The camp as well as awareness lecture was organized to mark National Voluntary Blood Donation Day with the theme – “Blood Donors bring a ray of hope. Be a regular Donor”. Principal of College, Dr Ajeet Angral along with chief guest, RC Puri, Secretary Regional Red Cross Society Jammu and resource person, Dr Vijay Sawhney, Head, Blood Transfusion and Medicine Department, GMC Jammu, inaugurated blood donation camp. More than 41 units of blood were voluntarily donated by the students, as well as the staff members of the college donated the blood on the occasion. Dr Shiveta Gandotra, Prof Richa Gupta and Prof Sajaad Iqbal Khan were also among the blood donors. Dr Vijay Sawhney delivered a very informative lecture where he quoted “Blood Dan as Maha Dan” This was followed by a very interactive session with students.

National Voluntary Blood Donors Day Celebrated at  Radisson Blu

To Celebrate the National Voluntary Blood Donor’s Day on October 1, 2017 in a befitting manner, series of Voluntary Blood Donation Programmes have been planned by IRCS, Jammu Region in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department, GMC and JKSACS, Jammu. First such programme was held at Hotel Radisson Blu on 01-10-2017 where in more than 37 staff members including GM Sh. Chander Bhushan Singh donated the blood. The Camp was organized under the supervision of Mr. Arpan Yadav, H.R. of the Hotel. Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region who was present on the occasion, appreciated the devotion, enthusiasm of the Blood Donors who came forward and donated blood without hesitation. He also threw lights on the importance of blood donation. The team of Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu was headed by Dr. Vijay Sawhney, HOD, Blood Bank assisted by Dr. Lubna , Dr. Vidhushi other Medical and Paramedical staff. More than 140 Jawans of  JAK LI including Brig. Ramit Mehta and Col. Ajay Thakur donated blood during the Camp. Since Blood Donation  is a great service to the mankind and every one should donate blood voluntarily regularly to save the human lives. Brig. Ramit Mehta appealed the Jawans to come forward and join this humanitarian cause by donating blood in future also. He also appreciated the efforts of Indian Red Cross Society Region Jammu , Blood Transfusion Department & J&K State Aids Control Society for organizing this significant event and maintained that they are doing commendable job to promote this great cause and hope that such type of camps will also be organized in future also.

The Red Cross team was headed by Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer whereas     Dr. Ritika from Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu supported by other Doctors and Para Medical Staff.

IRCS and Rashtriya Rifles organises Blood Donation Camp at Talwara, Reasi

Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Rashatriya Rifles and Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College, Jammu organised a Blood Donation Camp at Talwara Reasi District. Large number of civilian population of the area also participated in the Camp. Jawans of Rashatriya Rifles voluntarily donated more than 68 units of blood on the occasion under the supervision of O.C. Rashatriya Rifles. The team of Blood Transfusion Department Govt. Medical College was headed by Dr. Lubna. Shri R.C.Puri, Hony. Secretary ,while speaking on the occasion explained in detail the need and importance of Blood donation, its periodicity, effects/benefits on the health of the donor and above all the noble cause of saving precious human lives. He appreciated the role of Rashatriya Rifles in reaching out the poor and needy people of the area in mitigating their sufferings and stressed the need for organizing such camps in future also. He assured all possible help from Indian Red Cross Society for organizing Blood Donation Camps in far off places in near future also.

In commemoration of first Foundation Day, Mahavir International Society (Jammu centre) organised blood donation camp at Nageshwar Parshvanath Jain Mandir Bahu Plaza here on 1st May, 2016 (Sunday). The camp was organised in association with Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region, Blood Transfusion Society Department GMC and J and K SACS. The camp was inaugurated by R.C Puri Secretary along with Vinod Jain Chairman of Society along with member associated of the society. The immense efforts of Jain society resulted in collection of more than 90 units of blood on the occasion. Rajni Jain, General Secretary read all the achievements and work carried out by the society during one year’s span of time. She said that society works on the principal “Love All – Serve All” and is dedicated to social upliftment focusing on economically weaker section of society. She appraised that society is coming up with some new projects for the betterment of the unprivileged members of society. Praising the important contribution and timely help made by the society to needy and poor, Puri lauded the efforts of society especially in contributing for blood donation camps. He said the real significance of this humanitarian deed can only be appreciated by those who come to the hospital during distress, have no support system of their own, it proves critical for the life saving of the recipients. Vinod Jain highlighted the importance of the blood donation and lauded the volunteer efforts of donors especially youths. Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, RS Pura on 20-3-2016.
Devotees of the Mission participated in this camp to spread the message of Baba ji that “Blood should flow in veins and not in drains”. As many as 230 volunteers came forward for donation but medical team obliged only 100 volunteers.
The camp was inaugurated by MLA Suchetgarh, Sham Lal Choudhary, who while speaking on the occasion, described the camp a great way towards the service of humanity and blood donation, a supreme donation.
The camp was attended by several dignitaries including Dr Renu Bala from Blood Bank, GMC Jammu, Sh. R.C. Puri, Honorary secretary, Indian Red Cross Society and many others.

Col. M.D.Bal, Commanding Officer,12 Kumaon Regiment inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp and also donated blood besides more than 37 Jawans in the presence of Sh. Sajay Hajra ,Adjutant of above said Brigade donated blood during the Camp. Highlighting the importance of Blood Donation, Col. Bal said it is a great service to the mankind and every one should donate blood voluntarily as many times as possible to save the human lives. He appealed the Jawans to come forward and join this humanitarian cause by donating blood in future also. Col. Bal also appreciated the efforts of Indian Red Cross Society Region Jammu , Blood Transfusion Department & J&K State Aids Control Society for organizing this significant event and have maintained that they are doing commendable job to promote this great cause and hope that such type of camps will also be organized in future also.

Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp today at Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

The Blood Donation Camp was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal, Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bakshi appreciated the efforts made by the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and stressed upon other students of the College to come forward and donate blood voluntarily for humanitarian cause.

Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu also appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion, dedication and enthusiasm of the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Blood Donation Camp.

More than 33 Units of Blood was donated by the students of the College which includes Prof. Amit Pal Kour and Prof. Ashwani Khajuria. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Neelam Thappa & Prof. Ashiq Malik.

On the concluding day of 27th Road Safety Week, Motor Vehicle Department in collaboration with Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu and Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar organised a blood donation camp at Regional Transport Office Jammu on 6-1-2016 in which more than 80 persons donated blood voluntarily in the said Camp.

Hr Sec. School Ban Ganga Road, Katra on 21-11-2015.

The Camp was inaugurated jointly by Dr. Vijay Sawhney, HOD Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu, Sh. Ajit Patwa from Faridabad Donors Club and            Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region and threw light on the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation and urged the gathering particularly the Youth to come forward and donate blood Voluntarily for Humanitarian cause. Afcons and Konkan Railways employees donates Blood on Engineers Day

 

Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu, J&K State Aid Control Society, Jammu and District Red Cross Society, Reasi organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp  at the site of Chenab Railway Bridge (Worlds Highest Railway Bridge) being constructed by  Afcons Infrastructure Ltd.  and Konkan Railways at Village Kouri in District Reasi on “Engineers Day”.  The Camp was inaugurated by Sh. S.M. Vishva Murthy, Project Manager, Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. besides this, other dignitaries from Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. ,  Konkan Railways , IRCS, Jammu Region   and Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu also participated in the programme--- Sh. In the said Camp more than 105 donors (Engineers and Employees of Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. And Konkan Railways) donated their blood voluntarily with great enthusiasm.

Vishva Murthy, Project Manager, Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. while speaking to the present audiences thanked IRCS, Jammu Region, Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu and JKSACS, Jammu and District Red Cross Society, Reasi for their co-ordinated efforts in making the camp a grand success at such a hilly and for flung areas. He emphasised on Red Cross to arrange such Blood Donation Camp in future also. He also appreciated the efforts taken by Dr. Pawan Kotwal, IAS, Divisional Commissioner  (Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region) Jammu and Smt. On the eve of Independence Day, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regional Office Jammu organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region and Blood Transfusion Department, Government Medical Jammu at RBI Complex on 13-08-2015 Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal and D. Sethy, Regional Director, RBI, J&K State jointly inaugurated the camp by donating a unit of blood each. More than 61 Units of Blood was donated by the students of the College. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Ashiq Malik, Incharge Red Cross Unit of the College and Mrs. Navneet Kour, Chairperson NGO Support and Members, IRCS, Region Jammu.

Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya Samiti organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with India Red Cross Society, Region Jammu and Blood Transfusion Department GMC, Jammu on 18th August, 2014 at Balram Temple, Panjtirthi, Jammu. The Camp was inaugurated by Sh. Uttam Chand, IPS, SSP, Jammu and impressed upon the youth to come forward and donate Blood for Saving the precious Lives. The Camp was organized under the overall Supervision of Sri Balak Yogeshwar Ji Maharaj. About 29 Youths donated the Blood. Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu was also present on the occasion and appreciated the efforts made by Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya Samiti Jammu for organizing the Blood Donation Camp and hope that such type of Camps will organize in future also.

Reliance Communication Ltd., Jammu and Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 11-07-2014 in collaboration with Department of Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu and J&K State Aids Prevention and Control Society, Jammu at the premises of Reliance Communication, Channi Rama, Jammu. About 19 Volunteers of Reliance Communication donated their blood voluntarily on the occasion. Secretary, IRCS, Region Jammu Mr. R.C. Puri appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion, dedication and enthusiasm of the employees of the Reliance Communication who come forward and donated their blood.

An awareness/motivational lecture on Voluntary Blood Donation was delivered by Dr. Vijaya Sawhney, HOD Blood Transfusion Department, GMC Jammu on the occasion and asked the participants to come forward to donate blood and save precious lives. The Circle Head Reliance Communication thanked the supporting Agencies for successful organization of Blood Donation Camp

Sant Dayalachak Doantes 101 Units of Blood:- Sant Nirankari Mandal (SNM) Branch Dayalachak organized a 12th Blood Donation Camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Dayalachak on Sunday to spread the message of Satguru Baba hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that “Blood Should Flow In Veins and Not In Drains” Devotees from branch Marheen and Mandli also participated in the Camp.

The Camp was inaugurated by Sh. R.C. Puri, Hony. Secretary, Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu. While speaking on the occasion he appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion and dedication of the mission. He congratulated Sant Nirankari Mission for this noble cause. Sh. Ashish Singh, Executive Secretary, Distt. Red Cross Committee, Kathua, Sh. Ram Mehta, Sh. Satpal, Dr. Vijay Sawhney HOD, Dr. Zubair Blood Bank GMC Jammu and other prominent citizens were also present in the Camp. Rev Ajit Singh Ji Zonal Incharge (J&K) Sant Nirankari Mandal thanked all for Organizing camp. He highlighted the activities of Nirankari Mission and gave the message of True master. He thanked the Blood donors for their priceless contribution for humanity. Rev. Phontu Ram Ji mukhi Dayalachak welcomed all present in the camp. The Blood was collected by Blood & Transfusion Deptt. of Govt. Medical College, Jammu.

Divisional Commissioner inaugurates Blood Donation Camp:- Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sh. Shantmanu who is also Chairman, Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu today inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp organized by Sun Pharma Laboratories Limited in collaboration Regional Red Cross Society and Government Medical College, Jammu at Bari Brahmana here today.

About 50 Volunteers of Sun Pharma Laboratories Limited donated blood on the occasion. Among others, Secretary Regional Red Cross Society, Sh. R.C. Puri, HOD Blood Bank, GMC Jammu, Dr. Vijay Sawhney were also present on the occasion. Divisional Commissioner while speaking on the occasion lauded the gesture of Sun Pharma Laboratories Limited for organizing Blood Donation Camp. Describing Blood Donation as a noble cause, Shantmanu said that everybody should come forward for this cause to save precious lives. Maintaining that many NGO’s and Social Organization are doing good work in this field, he emphasized the need to gear up the efforts and motivate more and more people to come forward and support the cause.
